Known for exploitation films and B-grade horrors, Al was one of the renowned directors. Adamson started his professional career in the film industry when he was young.
He began directing in the 60s and has featured in 33 movies. Some of them are films, like Dracula vs. Frankenstein and Psycho A-Go-Go, which became cult classics. He frequently cast his wife, actress, and singer Regina Carol in his movies.
Adamson left filmmaking in the early 1980s to seek a real estate business. Adamson was murdered in 1995 by a live-in contractor he had hired to do work on his property. His death and subsequent trial drew significant attention, and he was the subject of many true-crime television films.
Where Is Fred Fulford Today? Is He Still In Jail?
After a six-week trial, a jury took less than two hours to convict Fred Fulford of murder. A judge delivered this judgment in November 1999, and he was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison in March 2000.
Currently, he is jailed in Stockton at the California Health Care Facility at the age of 72.
Although he became qualified for parole in early 2016, the board refused him for three years, and the same judgment was repeated on June 3, 2021. As a result, Fred will now face a parole hearing in June 2024.
During his cross-examination, Fred admitted to fraud, dishonesty, and misusing Al’s money and trust, but he consistently denied murdering him. Instead, Fred insisted that he was being set up as all of the evidence was against him.

Why Did Fred Fulford Kill Al Adamson?
Fred Fulford killed Al Adamson because Fred overspent the profit he was supposed to share.
Adamson hired Fred Fulford months ago to complete rebuilding his two-story house in the middle of an orange grove. The two were intended to act as partners, with Fulford working on renovations and Al agreeing to split profits when the home was successfully sold.
He began abusing the opportunity and overspending the director’s money as an in-house contractor. Fulford reportedly struck Adamson in the head during a heated argument and dumped him on the floor.
During his interrogation, Fred revealed that he was unaware of Al’s death and had believed the celebrity was on vacation.
His incriminating actions, however, suggest otherwise. In the weeks following Al’s disappearance, he not only faked his signature on cheques and other official papers but also relocated to Florida, sent Al’s cars to him, and sold them.
