Where Is Carlina White Today?

Carlina White is safe today and has made some public appearances in the media as well. She is currently in her thirties.

She withdrew from her recently discovered biological parents, Joy, and Carl, with whom she had a problematic connection, as well as other family members and acquaintances.

White told New York magazine that while she would keep using the moniker Netty, she planned to update her official documents to reflect her legal name, Carlina White.

White was unable to bring a lawsuit against New York State for what transpired. By the time she discovered her true identity, her parents had already taken care of things on her behalf and had long since spent the $750,000 compensation.

According to the information in Unsolved Mysteries, White was kidnapped from a New York hospital in 1987 when she was just 19 days old. White was adopted by a mother who reared her as her child.

Is Carlina White Married Now? Husband And Family Life

Carlina White is a married woman now, but she has significantly less to speak about her husband and family as she enjoys her private life.

Thanks to the instance of Carlina, the families of Christopher and Shane have reason to hope for a reunion. Carlina, sometimes known as Netty, is 33 years old and is believed to still be in some contact with her biological family.

When White was kidnapped from the Harlem Hospital Center by a woman posing as a nurse, she was just 19 days old. Amazingly, after 23 years, Carlina was reunited with her biological parents.

Nedra “Netty” Nance was Carlina’s birth name; she got skeptical of the lady who claimed to be her mother after she attempted to obtain health insurance by presenting a false birth certificate.

According to New York Magazine, White didn’t confront Pettway about her bogus birth certificate until she was a senior in high school. White was allegedly abandoned as a youngster, and Pettway claimed to have taken her in.

What Happened To Carlina White Kidnapper?

Annugetta “Ann” Pettway was the lady who was recognized to be the kidnapper of Carlina White. She was charged for her actions by the investigators.

The Netflix documentary claims that Pettway struggled to conceive her children and experienced multiple miscarriages. Finally, she kidnapped baby Carlina from a Harlem hospital out of desperation and raised her as her own.

Charges against Ann Pettway were filed after it was determined what had occurred, and in July 2012, the New York Times reported that she had been given a 12-year prison sentence at 50.

It’s believed that she is incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Aliceville, Alabama, to complete her term. After Volume 2 of Unsolved Mysteries was released on October 19, 2020, viewers could immediately watch the Carlina-centered episode on Netflix.
