Where Is Anthony Weiner Now And What Is He Doing? Sexting Scandal Explained

Where Is Anthony Weiner Now? He is a previous member of the United States House of Representatives from New York City who has been embroiled in several sexting scandals.

Anthony Weiner isn’t as interested in New York politics as he ran for mayor twice before exchanging messages with a 15-year-old who sent him to federal prison.

He was, however, effective on the campaign trail. He was the one Mike Bloomberg was concerned about, and he spent millions of dollars attempting to deny the nomination in 2009.

Mr. Weiner was also a test subject for the media and social media news that destroyed his 2013 mayoral campaigns and is now the standard operating procedure in politics.

The details about where Anthony Weiner is now are still uncovered.

After just a year in the role, disgraced ex-politician Anthony Weiner has resigned as CEO of a Brooklyn-based company that manufactures recycled glass countertops.

In a LinkedIn post, the former Democratic congressman whose serial sexting cost him his political career and landed him in prison explained that his company, IceStone, will become a worker-owned cooperative, rendering his role as CEO obsolete.

Mr. Weiner’s notoriety, combined with his status as a sex offender, will make it difficult for him to find another job.

“It’s very limited the places I can work without The New York Post just making everyone’s life miserable,” he explained.

Anthony Weiner Sexting Scandal Explored

Anthony Weiner was active in politics and a Democratic member of the United States Congress at the first scandal.

Anthony used the social media website Twitter to link to a 21-year-old woman who contained a sexually suggestive image of himself.

After initially denying that he had posted the image, he admitted that he had sent a link to the picture, which was explained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as an erection barely covered by a man’s underwear and by iPolitics as a “man-bulge in boxer briefs.”

Before and during his marriage, he sent additional sexually explicit photos and messages to women.

He denied ever meeting or having a sexual relationship with any of the women. Anthony announced his intention to resign from Congress on June 16, 2011, June 23.

Weiner came back to politics in April 2013, when he ran for mayor of New York City.

Weiner admitted to sexting at least three women since his resignation from Congress after additional photos of him were released.

Anthony stayed there until the bitter end, finishing fifth in the Democratic primary.

Following a Daily Mail report in September 2016, the FBI began investigating Weiner for sexting with a 15-year-old girl.

His laptop was taken, and emails related to the Hillary Clinton email scandal were discovered on it, causing a stir late in the presidential election.

Weiner pled guilty to one count of transferring obscene material to a minor on May 19, 2017.

Before Weiner’s guilty plea, his wife, Huma Abedin, filed for divorce. Anthony was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison in September.
