Daniel Huston is an American actor, director, and screenwriter who was born on May 14, 1962. He is a member of the Huston family of filmmakers and the half-brother of Anjelica Huston’s actress father, John Huston.
In the 1975 thriller The “Human” Factor, which starred George Kennedy, Huston made his acting debut at the age of 12.
Huston adapted Thornton Wilder’s Theophilus North for the screen in 1988 with Mr. North, which he also directed. His father, who produced the movie but passed away before it was finished, did so. Huston starred as Bartender #2 in Leaving Las Vegas and directed The Maddening in 1995. Huston’s performance in the independent movie Ivans Xtc earned him a nomination for Best Male Performance at the 2003 Independent Spirit Awards.
