Professional cyclist Lizzie Deignan is pregnant with her second child and her due date is approaching.
Elizabeth Mary Deignan popularly known as Lizzie won the first-ever women’s race on the cobbled path, Paris-Roubaix Femmes in 2021.
Lizzie was the world champion during the 2025 World Women’s Road Race. She started her junior championships in 2005 by doing the scratch race.
The cyclist has graduated in cycling under the British Cycling’s Olympic Podium Programme. She rides for Trek-Segafredo in the UCI Women’s World Tour.
Deignan announced that she was pregnant in early 2022 and will not be playing this season. She has signed an extended contract with Trek-Segafredo and will be returning in the 2023-2024 racing seasons.

Lizzie Deignan, age 33 announced her second pregnancy and is due the childbirth in September.
After becoming the first woman to win a triple crown of all women’s Monument classics by winning the Tour of Flanders, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, and Paris-Roubaix Femmes in 2021, she decided to take a break in 2022.
Deignan has missed the first women’s Tour de France race but she will return to the race next year.
“Obviously having a baby is a big decision, but it wasn’t a difficult one for us.”, said the World champion.
She feels like being a mother shouldn’t limit her from moving forward in her career. Even after having her first child, she returned to the tracks and won several titles.
Lizzie Deignan Husband Philip Deignan
Lizzie got married to the Irish professional cyclist Philip Deignan on September 17, 2016.
Philip is a former road racing cyclist who played for Team Sky in the UCI World Tour from 2014-2018 before retiring.
The 38 years old husband and father had previously represented Ireland in the Beijing Olympics in 2008. In his career, he has raced with teams like AG2R Citroen Team, Cervelo TestTeam, Team RadioShack, UnitedHealthcare, and Team Sky.

The Paris-Roubaix winner Lizzie Deignan and her husband were blessed with their first kid in September 2018.
Currently, the cyclist has one daughter named Orla and is near to welcoming her second child. Lizzie said that she had always wanted a big family and she has received full support from her team on her new journey.
Lizzie posted a photo of her daughter on Instagram to announce her pregnancy and due date which is on Orla’s birthday as well.

The 2009 UCI gold medalist Lizzie is on a break from her cycling career and is spending time with her family at her home.
Deignan was born on December 18, 1988, in Otley, West Yorkshire. Her husband Philip is from Ireland and is a resident of Monaco.
Lizzie lives in Otley and Monaco. Whenever she finds spare time, she visits her family. She has been practicing pescetarianism since she was 10.
Fans will see Lizzie in the 2023 and 2024 UCI seasons as she has already signed the contracts with Segafredo. Even though she is pregnant, she still does some light practice from her home and goes cycling.
