Mama June is an American reality television show on We TV. The first episode of the series aired on February 24, 2017. It started with documenting June’s weight loss transformation.
Initially, she lost her weight from 460 to 160 pounds (209 kgs to 73 kgs), losing 300 pounds. Since then, the show has extended to its fifth season, where their family matters are discussed in the live telecast.

June and her new fiance Justin are about to marry in the new season. But June’s daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird have decided not to attend the wedding.
They feel abandoned by June as she has not shown any support for her kids and only thinks about herself and her marriage.
Lauryn is also not speaking with her mother since the battle over the custody of her Honey Boo Boo sister Alana.
Though June is trying to repair her relationship with her daughters, they think she is only trying to repair the relationship because of her wedding.
She has vented on her mother about the emotional strain that has put much pressure on her relationships, making her an insomniac.
Her fiance Justin Shroud is also upset about her lying to his mother and disappointed with her. On their weekend therapy, where their therapy doctor Ish was present, June asked something unexpected about her daughters, shocking the siblings.
Their doctor suggested weekly therapy. He also concluded that the relationship between the four daughters and the reality star mother would either be a new beginning or a new ending with a severe crack in their relationship.
Lauryn and her husband Josh are raising four kids, among which two are twins, a new addition to the family recently.
Along with their children, they have also taken custody of Alana, but they are struggling to fulfill their requirements for the home even though June has been sending the monthly child support for Alana.
This has led the couple to have quite a hard time balancing their responsibilities as parents.

The new episode of season 6 will be premiered on May 5, 2023. The date has been confirmed by WE TV and the reality star June Shannon’s daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson.
Pumpkin and her family headed to California during the summer of 2022, where they tended to some of their business and meetings with the production houses.
Later the production house was seen to be filming in September without their mother.
As in the previous season of Road to Redemption, June had less screen time than her daughter.
And many fans were upset with the reality star for her consistent absences, making false promises to her daughters and her family and leaving her daughter for a man.
During the show’s production, Alana and her sister were filming without their mother, as that’s what fans really wanted to see.
Fans even felt it was time to dispose of June and focus on her daughter Pumpkin and Honey Boo Boo’s life.
But June was also spotted filming with the production house.
Alana also confirmed that the new season would be back on WE TV with a beautiful wedding picture of her mother.
