When Does High School Football Start 2023?

High School football start date 2023 is 11 August 2023 at 5 PM. The preseason game features Campbell and Waipahu teams from Hawaii State.

It is the first game of the season. The high school football schedule for 2023 varies by state, but most states begin their season in August or early September.

Some states such as Hawaii, Washington D.C., and Indiana allow the team to start practicing in late July while others such as Connecticut, Delaware, and Minnesota start in early or mid-September.

Additionally, the rule of high school football resembles the college game for the most part, but it has some differences, such as shorter quarters, different kickoffs, and touchbacks.

The high school football teams have 4 to 6 practices per week. However, the practices and training are not the same for every team. It greatly depends on the team’s head coach.

  • Game Planing

The three high school teams Wolfe City, Campbell, and Greenville will start their practice season under the supervision of new head coaches.
