Shaun Ryder, a famous musician, had a joyful Sunday after he surprised family and friends by getting married to Joanne, his longtime love.
Shaun, the lead singer of the Happy Mondays, and Joanne wed secretly at Worsley’s Court House following the christening of their baby.
But to everyone’s amazement, they immediately wed at the adjacent Worsley Court House to make it a double celebration.
Oliver, Joanne’s son, gave her away during the civil ceremony held in the 19th-century structure.
Prior to the christening, she and Shaun, who also have a two-year-old daughter named Pearl, had informed friends of a “huge surprise,” and Joanne had also changed her Facebook status to “engaged.”
But before the big day, neither had disclosed their wedding plans in the open.
