Who is Hendrix Hart?
Hendrix Hart was born on 8 November 2007, in the United States of America, and is known only as the son of comedian Kevin Hart from his first marriage to Torrei Hart. His father is one of the most successful comedians of recent years, appearing in numerous high profile films, and has also released numerous successful comedy albums.
The Riches of Hendrix Hart
As of early-2020 and the age of 13, Hendrix Hart’s net worth is unknown, presumably based on the success of his father.
Kevin Hart has a net worth that is estimated to be over $200 million and is considered one of the highest-earning comedians of all time. That wealth has led to a life of luxury for Hendrix who often enjoys big spending on events like his birthday.
Parents and Life Growing Up
Kevin married Hendrix’s mother Torrei Hart in 2003, and he was the second child born from their marriage. He grew up with an older sister named Heaven, and for a time his parents lived in apparent harmony. However, in 2010, the couple filed for divorce with both citing irreconcilable differences; rumors circulated that Kevin was unfaithful during their relationship, but nothing concrete came out of it.
Kevin requested joint custody of the children which Torrei accepted, leading to Hendrix spending time equally with his parents. For a time, it was difficult, as everyone needed to adjust to a new life after the separation, but money wasn’t an issue at all, as Kevin provided for everything his children needed. After the divorce, things were quiet as Hendrix continued with schooling, and mostly kept a low profile.
A Bit of Attention
Eventually Hendrix resurfaced, making public appearances following his father’s engagement to Eniko Parrish. He had grown close to his soon-to-be stepmom, and had no complaints about his father’s new relationship.
For the marriage, he was named as the best man, and gained a lot of compliments during the event as he looked dapper in his custom made suit; also his sister was a bridesmaid in the affair. He wasn’t affected by his father’s new relationship, and was all smiles as seen in photos. A year after the union, Hendrix’s half-sibling was born.
Apart from appearing at the wedding, Hendrix is known to have thrown lavish birthday parties, with his father sparing no expense. During his sixth birthday, several celebrities appeared at the event including actor Boris Kodjoe.
At his 10th birthday, his mother threw him a lavish ninja and samurai-themed party which was attended by his friends, held in Los Angeles at the Glowzone in Woodland Hills. The media caught wind of his stepmother being absent from the event, but things were later clarified as it was discovered that she was in the latter stages of her pregnancy.
Father – Kevin Hart
Kevin grew up in Philadelphia, primarily raised by his mother who worked at the University of Pennsylvania; his father was barely present during his childhood, because of a cocaine addiction which left him in and out of prison.
With all of these troubles around him, Kevin found solace in comedy, though he didn’t pursue the craft until trying it at an amateur night event in a night club in his city. After the successful trial, he dedicated his life fully to comedy, and began honing his skills, performing in amateur comedy competitions in the New England area.
Eventually, producers and casting directors caught wind of him, leading him to be cast in a recurring role in the television series “Undeclared”. The Judd Apatow-created show didn’t gain a lot of popularity, but eventually a cult following over the years.
In the 2000s, more acting roles starting coming in for Kevin, in such films as “Little Fockers”. In 2008, he released his first stand-up album called “I’m a Grown Little Man”, which started his path towards superstardom.
The Success of Kevin Hart
In 2012, Hart gained attention for his performance in the film “Think Like a Man”, based on the book “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” written by Steve Harvey. He then flourished in comedy duo films, working alongside Ice Cube in “Ride Along” and its sequel “Ride Along Two”.
He worked with Will Ferrell in “Get Hard”, and then started a partnership with Dwayne Johnson in “Central Intelligence” which would lead to many collaborative movies between the two. He also tried voice acting in “The Secret Life of Pets”.
One of his latest projects is “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”, the third installment of the “Jumanji” franchise and a direct sequel to the original film. In the film, he plays one of the avatars of the game Jumanji, which the main characters have to play to win the game and return to their home. He reprised his role in 2019’s “Jumanji: the Next Level”, which was the 10th highest-grossing film of the year.
Kevin’s success made him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in the annual “Time 100”. He continues to release comedy albums and has a consistent stream of work in Hollywood for both television and film.
Personal Life
Hendrix is still young, so isn’t interested in any romantic relationships, but is focused on completing his education before deciding on his career path. His father has expressed some concerns about his son possibly being homosexual, and though he didn’t specify the basis of his fears, he mentioned that he wants his son to be straight. This caused a lot of criticism from the LGBT community, with some calling him homophobic. He later defended his statements, saying that he isn’t homophobic, but that he’s just concerned about his child.
