Riot Fest 2023 lineup is yet to come out in 2023. Riot Fest is an annual three-day punk rock music event.
What separates this festival from many others is the fact that is one of the largest independently owned festivals in the entire country. Plus, the festival is best known for booking reunions of old punk bands, amazing guest performances, and even full album performances.
Riot Fest was first got established in Chicago in 2005 and was founded by Mike Petryshyn and Sean McKeough. From 2005 to 2012, the festival moved from various venues, but since 2012 it has been squarely situated in Douglass Park in Chicago, Illinois, and has only grown in relevancy since then.
In fact, to many, Riot Fest is the mecca of punk, metal, and pop-punk music, and it has even become something of a meme in the cultural zeitgeist due to that association.
The festival will take place on September 15, 16, and 17, which are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively.

Where Is Riot Fest Going To Be Held In 2023? Location And Venue
Riot Fest 2023 is going to be held at Douglass Park, Chicago, Illinois. The festival has been held there since 2015.
The festival initially moved there due to the negative effects of the event on the Boricua, or Puerto Rican community when the festival used to be held at Humboldt Park. Some of these negative effects were the adverse effect on the grass and the gentrification of the community as a whole which threatened the economically vulnerable residents.
Douglass Park is in the Cook County area which is on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois, and used to be called South Park. However, its name was changed to Douglas Park in 1871, two years after it was established, as a way to honor Stephen A. Douglas, an American lawyer and politician who is native to the city.
The extra “S” was added in 2020, when the park decided that its name would honor famous abolitionist Frederick Douglass and his wife Anna Murray Douglass, partly due to the nationwide Black Lives Matter movement which had shed new light on the plight of African Americans all over the country.
How To Go To Riot Fest 2023?
Riot Fest 2023 is held in Douglass Park in Chicago, Illinois. More specifically, it is in Cook County and is about 9 minutes from Chicago.
To get to the park from the heart of the city, one should be taking the I-290 W highway road. Then, the best place to get off the highway is through S Carolina Ave which will take one directly to the park, making the entire trip a short drive of 4.3 miles.
However, many people come to the Riot Fest from out of state, and doing so means they will have to travel to the park from the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The total ride from the airport to Douglass Park takes a total of 24 miles and approximately 51 minutes.
The fasted way to travel this distance is by taking the I-190 E, traveling the bulk of the route on the I-294 S highway, and then getting on W Cermak Road. Concertgoers should be careful to note that this route has tolls, but since it is a highway, should be a swift and easy drive.
