Hayes died of a heroin overdose on his yacht on November 22, 2013, after a secret meeting with Tichelman, whom he met through a website called SeekingArrangement.com.

What Was Forrest Hayes Death Cause?

According to a coroner, Forrest Hayes died almost immediately from a heroin overdose on November 22, 2013. His death was deemed to be the fault of a 27-year-old high-priced escort, Alix Tichelman.

According to surveillance footage from Hayes’ 50-foot yacht Escape, Tichelman fled after wiping away any evidence that she had been there.

After pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter and giving illicit substances, Tichelman was sentenced to six years in the Santa Cruz County Jail. However, she only served three years before being deported to Canada for good behavior.

Tichelman had only met Hayes once previously as ‘Tim’ when he paid her almost $3,000 for a lunch date. Tichelman claimed Hayes urged her to bring heroin to their second encounter so they could “party” aboard his boat, the Escape.

According to the ‘Call Girl Killer,’ she was hired by him to carry out his orders, and everything was mutually agreed upon. If she had known Hayes had taken Valium and consumed beer earlier that day, she claims she would not have administered the drugs.
