Dante Daniel Bonaduce is an American actor, comedian, radio personality, television personality, and professional wrestler. Bonaduce is the son of veteran TV writer and producer Joseph Bonaduce. Bonaduce became famous as a child actor in the 1970s on the TV sitcom The Partridge Family.
Like many child stars, the actor has battled with substance abuse. In 1990, he was arrested while attempting to buy cocaine in Daytona Beach, Florida. The following year he was arrested in Phoenix for beating and robbing a transgender sex worker.
He also struggled with alcohol abuse. “I was probably legally drunk for about 25 years. For nearly two decades Gretchen watched her husband battle his demons unsuccessfully before making the decision to leave for the sake of both herself and their children, Dante and Isabella.
The divorce was finalized in 2008. The previous year, Bonaduce was charged with assaulting ‘Survivor’ star Jonny Fairplay resulting in serious damage to his mouth and nose. In 1991, near the beginning of his marriage to Gretchen, Danny also faced assault charges.
