John McAfee was a British-American businessman and computer programmer. He is the founder of McAfee antivirus software.
His company released the first commercial antivirus software but he resigned from the company in 1994. However, he later became the company’s most vocal critic.
On June 23, 2021, John was found dead in the Spanish jail. According to BBC, McAfee died by suicide.
He was 75 years old at the time of his death.
Furthermore, McAfee was arrested in Spain in October 2020, for tax evasion.
He allegedly earned millions of dollars from 2014-2018 from crypto-currencies, consulting firms, and speaking engagements but failed to file income tax returns.
He was awaiting extradition in a Spanish prison when he passed away.
