What Really Happened To Leslie Neulander?

Leslie Neulander was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her bathtub back in 2012.

On June 23, 2014, over two years after Leslie’s death, a grand jury heard the case, and Robert Neulander was charged with her murder. Prosecutors claim he arranged the incident to make it appear as if she had fallen in the shower.

Until most recently, Robert was again convicted guilty of the 2012 murder of his partner. The jury reached a decision after more than six hours of deliberation.

This is the second time Neuland, 70, has been found guilty of Leslie’s murder. In 2015, a jury found Neulander guilty after four days of deliberation and 18 hours of deliberation.

Neuland was promptly apprehended and taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center after each jury was asked about their alternative.

He served three years in prison after his preliminary conviction before the decision was reversed in 2018 due to jury misconduct. Since then, he’s been released on $1 million bails.

The pandemic has forced him to postpone his second trial. The jury found that Leslie couldn’t have died from slipping inside the bathtub after hours of listening to witness testimony and going through a slew of evidence, a story Neulander has been telling for nearly a decade.
