At Sunday’s WhatsOnStage’s first-ever gender-neutral Awards, female talent won, and Jodie Comer was the picture of style as she led the victors.
The 29-year-old actress was stunning as she won her award for Best Performer at the Prince Of Wales Theatre in London wearing a black minidress with marabou trim.
Jodie earned the award for her performance in the one-person show Prima Facie, against celebrities like David Tennant and Jonathan Bailey. She paired the sleeveless dress with dark tights and put on a pair of pointed shoes for her feet.
Jodie kept her golden hair loose, just dusting on makeup to highlight her stunning features. The Killing Eve actress exuded assurance as she proudly posed for photos with her trophy.
Jodie portrayed a smart lawyer in the play who rose from working-class beginnings to the top of her field before being forced by an unexpected circumstance to “confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof, and morals divide.”
Patrick Marmion of The Daily Mail gave her “ferocious yet forensic performance” a strong four out of five stars.
In a fierce yet forensic performance that is related to a whirlwind of swiftly changing views, Comer really astounds us, the author said. With her native Liverpool accent and anti-Establishment outlook, she wins us over as the high-flying barrister. At one point, she even throws trash at the audience.
What play is Jodie Comer doing now? What is Jodie Comer doing now?
Elizabeth of York in the Starz historical miniseries The White Princess (2017) and Sarah in the Channel 4 television movie Help are among her notable television performances (2021). At the Harold Pinter Theatre in 2022, Comer made her West End debut in Suzie Miller’s play Prima Facie. Not much is known about what is on her sleeves at the moment.
