What island does Julia Mancuso live on?
As a professional skier, Mancuso travels the world for the majority of the year. But during the summer, when she isn’t working, she resides and trains in Hawaii, a place you’d never look for her. Mancuso discusses the advantages of training on Maui. She claims that the stark contrast between the Alps and the tropics keeps her from getting bored and allows her to reconnect with nature.
Nature inspires me, and I love being able to express myself there, he remarked. “My coaches are aware of that about me. They are aware that I won’t improve if I get bored.”
