Graham Thorpe, who was admitted to the hospital with a serious illness in May, is now replaced by Jonathan Trott as the head coach of Afghanistan. As a result, fans are again worried for the former England player.
Thorpe used to represent England on the international platform, whereas he used to play for Surrey County Cricket Club domestically. Although naturally born as a right-hander, he is a left-handed middle-order batter. He has appeared in more than 100 test matches.

In May, it was known to the public that something was wrong with Graham Thorpe, the former cricketer of England and Surrey. The 52-year-old former athlete was reported to be hospitalized.
The Professional Cricketers Association provided heart-stopping news about the former athlete. However, the statement was released after Thorpe’s family requested the PCA.
Additionally, unlike most of the players, although being right-handed, he changed his stance when he was just six years old. While playing cricket with his two elder brothers in the garden, he chose to change from the right-hander to make it hard for them and have shorter boundaries on the left-handed leg side.
Nevertheless, he debuted for Surrey in 1988 and his international debut in 1993. He showed an outstanding performance in the second innings of his debut test match with Australia. Then, he had scored 114 and not out.
