What Is Tree On TikTok?
Let me just begin by saying that the tree meme is one of the weirdest video trends on Tiktok. Some people might find it not funny and just painfully awkward whereas some people might find it kind of funny. No matter what, it is a very divisive trend.
There are a bunch of people making TikTok video about giving sacrifices to the tree where they have cut their hairs and then given it to the tree. This is a reference to satanic cults and witchcraft. The song called “come to the tree” makes this video bit eerie but overall, it’s weirder than scary.
This video right here is very creepy for me. Now some might not think so. But this is what teenagers are doing these days to be a part of tree challenge or rather Tree meme on TikTok.
Tree On TikTok- Full Meaning Explained
On April 17th, 2020, one of the earliest video of this trend was seen on TikTok. Some people gathered around a tree and then kissed a tree and applied a small face filter which made their chins extra pointed and make them look cartoonish.
I guess the idea behind using a small face filter was to make the face look like that of an elf or a witch. They used hashtags such as #areyoucomingtothetree and #thetree and soo enough people started seeing and liking that video. It accumulated over 315000 likes over a week which is a huge number.
As that video became famous, teenagers and TikTokers went nuts and jumped on the bandwagon. They made their videos as weird as possible and stuck the same hashtags on their videos to make it famous.
