Rubbing Fingers Together Meaning On TikTok
Rubbing Fingers Together is a new TikTok trend that is making headlines all over the short video-sharing platform.
TikTok users as well as the normal audience is asking about the rubbing fingers together meaning. TikTok has a reputation for turning even the simplest thing into a global phenomenon. Take Barbell Challenge, for instance, it is a simple topic, however, the way it was performed on TikTok made it a huge trend overnight.
The same is true for rubbing fingers together as well. Rubbing the finders, especially the thumb against the index finger or fingertips, is used commonly as a gesture for money expectancy.
It symbolizes a coin being rubbed in between the thumb and fingertips. It is highly used by street vendors who say, ‘I can save you 40%’, or it could be said by a person who asks his friend about lending him a hundred bucks.
For non-sign language users, putting out the hand as if to shake it and placing the thumb between the index and middle fingers is a sign for money. This gesture is typically used as a suggestion that a tip or bribe is expected.
There are other finger combinations in sign language that can be used to convey a variety of meanings. In North America at least, it is definitely a silent signal for money. However, it could also be a signal for secrecy or a secretive relationship. All of them are just imaginations and their meaning highly depends on the conversation.
