Even some longtime Only Fools and Horses viewers were shocked to discover that David Jason is a licensed helicopter pilot.
The Del Boy actor is considerably more well known for his comedy acting than his flying, despite the fact that he does mention the highly cool skill in his memoirs.
At the age of 82, Jason remains remarkably committed to his favorite hobby and is still actively operating his own helicopter.
But everyone has to start somewhere, and Jason’s sense of direction wasn’t great when he first started flying.
The actor once got so hopelessly confused that he had to make an emergency landing in a farmer’s field to beg for directions. The farmer received the shock of his life as a result.
