Renowned country music artist Gretchen Wilson found herself in the spotlight once again, but this time, it wasn’t for her chart-topping tunes or Grammy-winning vocals. The recent incident involving Wilson raises questions about where she was asked to leave and whether she is still gracing stages with her performances.
Firstly, let’s address the burning question: Is Gretchen Wilson still performing? As of the latest information available, there are no concert dates scheduled for Gretchen Wilson in 2023. Fans who have been eagerly anticipating her live shows may need to exercise patience while awaiting further updates on her tour plans.
Now, delving into the intriguing incident that thrust Wilson into the headlines. It all unfolded at Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces in New Mexico following her performance at the Las Cruces Country Music Festival. Wilson, famous for hits like “Redneck Woman” and “Here for the Party,” took to Twitter to shed light on the situation.
In a tweet, the Grammy-winning country star humorously remarked, “Wrong hotel for 3rd shifters,” alluding to her nocturnal tendencies. According to Wilson, she got off the stage around 11:30 pm and was in her room conversing at 12:30 am when the hotel informed her of their quiet hours policy, which apparently began at 10 pm. This revelation led to her eviction from the hotel, leaving fans curious about the circumstances.
However, it’s worth noting that this eviction was not without reason, according to the local police. A spokesman from the Las Cruces Police Department revealed that there were multiple noise complaints lodged shortly after 3 am on the fateful Sunday morning. In response to these disturbances, hotel security, with police assistance, asked the guest to vacate the premises, citing the “worn out their welcome” rationale.
Gretchen Wilson’s hotel exit, while laced with humor and a dash of controversy, has kept fans engaged and wondering about her upcoming performances. Though 2023 may not feature concert dates for the country music star, her dedicated fan base eagerly anticipates the moment when they can once again experience her electrifying live shows.
As the music world holds its collective breath, awaiting updates on Gretchen Wilson’s future tour plans, one thing remains certain: Her music continues to resonate with audiences, making her a cherished figure in the world of country music.
