Killed By A Rich Kid: Yousef Makki Stabbed In Heart By Friend Joshua Molnar- What Happened?

Yousef Makki, a 17-year-old kid, was stabbed in March 2019. During an incident in the affluent Cheshire area of Hale Barns, just south of Manchester, he was tragically stabbed in the heart by Joshua Molnar, an apparent acquaintance.

Makki, a Burnage native, was a scholarship student at Manchester Grammar School, whereas Molnar attended Wilmslow High School.

Molnar, on the other hand, had been expelled from school after being caught with cannabis at the time of the stabbing.

Molnar initially told police he had no idea what had transpired and that he had observed a silver hatchback departing the scene.

He stated that he and another present friend of Makki’s, Adam Chowdhary, hurried over to Makki and discovered him “coughing up blood.”

Molnar later admitted stabbing Makki in self-defense. The prosecution stated at Molnar’s trial that the fight arose from an attempted robbery of a drug dealer, but it was later revealed that Chowdhury had orchestrated a “revenge beating” on Molnar.

According to CCTV footage taken near to the scene, Chowdhury and Molnar had gotten into a fight and Makki had intervened to break it up. After the incident, it was Chowdhury who dialed 999.

Joshua was found not guilty of Makki’s murder and manslaughter, although he did admit to having a flick knife and perverting the course of justice by lying to police at the scene of Makki’s death.

Makki’s death was neither accidental nor unlawful, according to a subsequent investigation. The family of Yousef Makki, on the other hand, is pushing for a second inquest and a judicial review of the case.
