Aiden Fucci was charged with first-degree murder as an adult in Tristyn Bailey’s death. Bailey was discovered dead on May 9, following her parents’ report that she was missing.

At a press conference later that day, R.J. Larizza, State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit, told reporters that Bailey had been stabbed 114 times, with at least 49 knife wounds to her hands and head that was “defensive in nature.”

During his court appearance, Aiden, who is accused of brutally murdering a classmate, made references to demons.

A judge is expected to rule on a request to delay Aiden Fucci’s trial at a future court hearing.

Aiden was in court for a hearing when Judge Lee Smith made the announcement. Rosemarie Peoples, Fucci’s attorney, filed a motion late last month, requesting that her client’s November trial be moved to next year because she needs more time to interview witnesses and work on the case.

Tristyn Bailey Murder Case

The search for Tristyn Bailey, who went missing in St. Johns County, Florida, came to a tragic end when her body was discovered less than a day later.

According to his arrest report, Fucci was arrested the next day and allegedly made several “admissions” of guilt.

Authorities also stated that they discovered his bloodied clothing, as well as a hunting knife, in a nearby pond. The culprit told friends days before Bailey’s murder that he planned to kill someone, though he didn’t say who.

After his arrest, Fucci posted a selfie in the back of a patrol car, referencing Tristyn. Fucci is making a peace sign in the photo. “Hey guys, has anyone seen Tristyn lately?” reads the caption. Fucci entered a not-guilty plea.

Info On Culprit Aiden Fucci’s Jail Sentence

Aiden Fucci is being tried as an adult despite being 14 at the time of his arrest. Aiden could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted. He is not eligible for the death penalty because he was a juvenile at the time of the offense.

Last month, his attorney filed a separate motion invoking his constitutional rights, including the right to remain silent and the right to counsel.

His mother was then arrested on suspicion of tampering with evidence. The State Attorney’s Office released photos of Crystal Smith allegedly washing blood off her son’s jeans.

While deputies were interviewing her son, she allegedly washed his pants. Smith was charged with evidence tampering with Bailey’s death after blood was found in his jeans and a drain in his home.

“Tampering with evidence is tampering with justice, and it cannot be excused or tolerated,” said State Attorney R.J. Larizza. His mother was released after a $25,000 bond was posted.
