Lex Luger was on a flight to San Francisco when he experienced neck pain. Things got worse when he tried to adjust his neck.

The formal wrestler suffered a nerve impingement in his neck, which caused him to be temporarily paralyzed. Nerve impingement is when a nerve becomes pinched. It can happen in various ways, but one of the most common is when the surrounding tissue applies too much pressure to the nerve.

However, it was thought to be minor, and Luger received intravenous antibiotic therapy. Lex was expected to recover fully. Unfortunately, there were a few roadblocks in his path.

Lex had quadriplegia even a month after his spinal injury, and he could not move any of his limbs.
