Through two-and-a-half quarters of the Denver Broncos Week 15 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, the game had been a defensive slugfest. With the Broncos behind 9-3, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater launched a third-quarter drive in the hopes of answering Cincinnati’s earlier field goal.
Bridgewater scrambled right and picked up the first down on a 2nd-and-5 play with 5:47 left in the third quarter, only to be struck by a Bengals defender as he was heading to the ground, which pushed his head/neck hard into the grass.
