“Girl in the Picture” is the Netflix original true-crime documentary released on July 6, 2022. It is based on the horrifying real story of Suzanne Sevakis who was abducted and assaulted by her stepfather her whole life.
Suzzane was kidnapped by Franklin Floyd along with her siblings when she was six. Floyd raised her as a daughter under the name Sharon Marshall only to sexually assault her.
Franklin also married her and they have a child together. Later in 1990, she was found dead in an accident. Her husband is the person of interest in her mysterious murder.

What Happened To Philip Brandenburg aka Philip Sevakis Now?
Philip Sevakis was identified as Philip Brandenburg, an infant who was kidnapped by Floyd, after 45 years of his disappearance.
Philip Steven Brandenburg was the son of Sandra Chipman and Dennis Brandenburg. Sandra fell in love with Floyd who had changed his name to Brandon Williams. Brandon manipulated her to shift to Dallas from North Carolina with her children.
When Sandra was sentenced to 30-day jail for writing bad checks, Floyd kidnapped all her children. He left the other two daughters, Allison and Amy in a local church and took Suzzane and the youngest child Philip with him.
Chipman could never locate her two children. When she tried to file a case, the authorities told her that the stepfather had the right to take their kids.
Many years had passed by and in 2019 a person came out as Philip who was abducted when he was just six. The 45-years old man was confirmed to be Philip Brandenburg by DNA tests.
Was Suzanne Sevakis Brother Found? Is He Dead or Alive?
After several failed attempts to find Philip, Chipman thought her son could never be found and was possibly dead.
But reality had something different stored in the box. Philip was secretly adopted by Mary and Bob Patterson claiming that he was their biological son who was born at the Carolinas Medical Center in Lincolnton.
The Patterson family was mourning the loss of their members and Mary decided to tell the truth. Philip gave his DNA sample to the police and he was identified as Sandra’s long-lost infant.
Although Philip was alive, Suzzane Sevakis was never found. She was a brilliant kid yet Floyd forced her to become an exotic dancer in a strip club. Floyd had married her and changed her name to Tonya Hughes.
Suzzane was found dead on a highway outside Oklahoma City. She had planned to elope with her boyfriend Kevin Brown and take her son Michael with her. Floyd has been sentenced to death after being convicted of first-degree murder.
