Binny is considering a career as a coach. “I’ve already begun coaching, and I’m working on my Level 2 at the National Cricket Academy. I’m thinking about coaching and training all-rounders and seam bowlers,” he stated.
According to his recent Instagram post, he is starting his new journey as the Assam Ranji Trophy team’s assistant coach. He wrote, “I am embarking on a new adventure.”
The Ranji Trophy is an Indian domestic first-class cricket championship between different teams representing regional and state cricket associations.
Binny holds the Indian record for best bowling spell in an ODI, with 6 wickets for 4 runs against Bangladesh in 2014.
He has represented several Indian teams, including the Hyderabad Heroes, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, and many more.
Binny was transferred from Karnataka to the Nagaland cricket team for the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy season in September 2019. The Rajasthan Royals released him ahead of the 2020 IPL auction.
He has also participated in international games and was associated with international teams. He made his Test debut in the first Test against England during the 2014 England tour.
