Pastor Shawn Boonstra Illness: What Happened?
Pastor Shawn Boonstra had a health problem in 2010 and could not work as a speaker/director for It Is Written International Television in California.
The speaker did not reveal any details about the illness he was suffering from at the time and kept the information to himself.
Rumors about Boonstra becoming ill are circulating in the media. Still, there is no proper evidence to support this claim because the pastor or anyone close to him has yet to state his health problem publicly.
He hosts the flagship broadcast of the Voice of Prophecy called Authentic, each week.
Voice of Prophecy Radio Ministry Shawn Boonstra Steps Down As Director
Rumors of Pastor Shawn Boonstra resigning as speaker and director of Voice of Prophecy has circulated on social media recently.
Meanwhile, the claims does have an official statement to prove the facts behind his resignation.
Unlike the claims, the pastor had officially stepped down from his role as “It Is Written” speaker and director due to personal health issues in 2010.
Similarly, he posted a letter and a video message about some apparent rumors that were spread via email forwards.
“I’m not dying,” he said, “I don’t have cancer, and I don’t have a life-threatening disease.” “However, I am dealing with a serious health issue, and it has come to the point where I need to take a sabbatical to allow my body to rest.”
Though the pastor expressed gratitude for the calls and emails, he stated that it is not in his nature to be open about his personal health and requested that his privacy be respected at this time.
He worked as an associate speaker for the It Is Written telecast in Canada from 1998 to 2001, then as a speaker from 2001 to 2004 before moving to the It Is Written international headquarters in 2004.
In 2001, Shawn and Pastor Henry Feyerabend hosted a special “NET” satellite series called Revelation Speaks Peace in downtown Halifax. This event drew international attention and raised awareness of the telecast in Canada.
