37-year-old Ryan Olson of Rigby passed away in the five-vehicle collision that took place in May 2021 and left a majority of passengers hospitalized and injured.
The collision reportedly occurred at the intersection of North 2nd East and Moody Road at approximately 10 a.m., according to the Idaho State Police.
Olson was traveling in his 2015 Toyota Corolla when Jamie Curtis, 29, of Rexburg, who was operating a 2011 Honda Pilot, rear-ended him.
Ryan Olson Accident At Rexburg- What Happened To Him?
On 17 May 2021, Ryan Olson died in a car accident in Rexburg. According to the investigator, his vehicle collapsed with Jamie’s a 2011 Honda Pilot.
Olson and his automobile were thrown into a canal by the crash and he left the world on the spot.
ISP claims that after the initial collision, further crashes involving Brian McRae, 42, of Rexburg in a Dodge Ram, Jarin Inskeep, 24, of Blackfoot in a 2004 Chevy Malibu, and Jeanne Smith, 59, of Roberts in a 1997 Honda Civic, took place.
The investigation of the incident was performed by the Idaho State Police. The Rexburg Police Department and Madison Fire Department assisted them.

Rigby Idaho Man Ryan Olson Killed In Crash By Jaime Curtis In Rexburg
In 2021, Rigby native Ryan Olson allegedly suffered a fatal rear-end collision caused by Jamie Marie Curtis, driving his vehicle into a canal.
The indictment claims that Curtis drove a 2011 Honda Pilot at a high rate of speed near the intersection of North 2nd East and Moody Road while Olson was in an uncontrolled hypoglycemic state.
Curtis then reportedly struck the back of Ryan Olson’s car. This was done unlawfully but without malice, as per the police reports.
How Are Ryan Olson Wife And Family Today?
Ryan Olson was a married man who had three children with his wife Marcye Hunter.
At the time of his passing, Ryan’s two lovely children, Kenzley and son Rycker, as well as step-son Peyton, were just eight, 10, and twelve years old.
Ryan was raised alongside his three siblings. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle snow machine and getting into hilarious mischief with his three brothers.
Today, his family including his wife and children resides in Idaho Falls, Bonneville County, Idaho.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up by Jlynn Hammond, one of Olson’s friends, to assist his family as unanticipated expenses are involved as a result of the untimely death.

Update On Accused Jamie Curtis- Where Is She Now?
Jamie Curtis was transported to Madison Memorial by ground ambulance after the crash.
Apart from that, EastIdaho News stated that the accused had apparently driven to the wrong side of the road being in a hyperglycemic state. The state reports her illness to be the reason for the tragic incident..
Regardless, a grand jury has indicted Curtis on a felony count of vehicular manslaughter.
According to court documents, she received a summons to appear at the Madison County Courthouse but was not incarcerated.
After being charged on 30 June, Curtis is scheduled to be arraigned in district court on 26 July.
Even though she is accused of committing these acts, this does not necessarily prove that she did. Until someone is found guilty, they are all assumed to be innocent.
