But before him, in December 1984, she got hitched to her longtime live-in partner, actor Matt Lattanzi. The duo is said to have met while filming Xanadu, but in 1995 they went through a friendly divorce.
People magazine reported that some close to the couple claimed that the pair’s separation was mainly due to the difference between her spiritual interests and his more worldly ones. Additionally, Chloe Rose, their daughter, was born in January 1986.
In addition, she engaged Bruce Welch 1968, one of her early producers and a co-writer of the song “Please Mr. Please,” even though they weren’t legally married.
As per her Wikipedia, Welch made a suicide attempt when Newton-John broke off their relationship in 1972.
