An inquest heard how a student administrator went to the flat of a 20-year-old woman who was having suicidal thoughts “and drove her to her GP.”
On April 16, a housemate reported Abrahart to student services for self-harm. The case was reported to the student wellness manager, Perks told the inquest. “My first concern was Natasha’s support,” she explained.

Natasha Abrahart, a physics student at the University of Bristol, was found hanging last April. She contacted vulnerable student services, according to Barbara Perks, “so we could best support her.”

Abrahart’s father is Robert and Margaret Abrahart. They alleged that errors at the university were a major factor in their daughter’s death, and they have requested that the government meet with them and other parents who have two children to discuss how institutions can better care for vulnerable students.
