Jen Swift, the CEO of Well Crafted Studio, revealed Melody’s death in a Facebook post on February 15, 2022. At the time of publishing, the circumstances surrounding her death had not been made public.
However, Melody’s sister has confirmed the news of her demise through the Youtuber’s Instagram handle under the username @melodylaneinspired.
Jen shared her grief following the death of her friend and appreciated her dedication and supportive nature to build the community. Melody was well-known for her positive attitude and humbleness among her friends and supporters.
Lane shared her knowledge about Cricut with her viewers because of her passion and love for the craft. Her goal was to build a tight-knit community and encourage people as it is “therapeutic.”

Holly, Lane’s sister, confirmed that the death cause of Melody Lane, the Craft Youtuber, is Covid, and she died due to the decrease in oxygen due to pneumonia.
She stated that Melody was kept in the ICU after her oxygen levels had gone down. In a heartbreaking post on Instagram, she claimed that Melody passed away at 3:22 am Vegas time.
However, Melody’s son, Alex, was able to spend some time with his mother before her death, and he is getting released due to his healthy vital signs and condition.
Many netizens have offered their condolences to Alex, who has lost his mother at such an important phase in his life.
Holly expressed her gratitude towards Melody’s fans and supporters, many of who had helped the family during difficult financial situations through a Gofund fundraiser.
