The internet is awash with concerns over Matt Stonie’s participation in the upcoming hot dog eating contest. Will he be there?
In 2015, Joey Chestnut was attempting to capture his ninth consecutive Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest title. That hadn’t happened since Matt Stonie ate 62 hot dogs to Chestnut’s 60 in order to pull off the stunning shock.
You might be curious about his whereabouts and other things, given that the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is returning on July Fourth. After all, it was he who finally broke Chestnut’s sway on the scenario.
What Happened To Matt Stonie? His Whereabouts
Matthew Kai Stonie seems to be chilling at his home, as per his Instagram story.
Besides, he shared a video on his Instagram page a few days ago in which he was spotted eating a marshmallow, but there are currently no indications that he is at Coney Island.
With over 15.3 million followers and 3.11 billion video views on his YouTube channel as of April 2022, Stonie is succeeding well. His most popular video has received over 126 million views.
Along the way, Matt Stonie broke numerous world records in addition to winning numerous eating contests. His record-breaking feats are astounding—and a little nauseating—in some cases.
In addition to eating 25 McDonald’s Big Macs in 22 minutes, 241 Hooters chicken wings in 10 minutes, 22 pounds of Smoke’s Poutinerie poutines in 10 minutes, and 71 Smithfield pork ribs in five minutes, Stonie has set several records.

Where Is The Hot Dog Eating Champion Now?
The former world record holder and hot dog eating champion Matt Stonie is currently at his home, as he is not participating this year.
As the format of the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest was altered in 2020 and ’21 by Covid-19 and capacity restrictions.
But in 2022 it will return to being held outside in Coney Island, at the intersection of Surf and Stillwell Avenues.
35,000 spectators are anticipated to converge on the venue to watch Joey Chestnut, the current champion and holder of the world record, attempt to break his own previous record of 76 hot dogs.
Geoffrey Esper, who is listed at -140 (play $140 to win $100), is Chestnut’s best opponent in this field and the overwhelming betting favorite.
Monday, July 4 at noon E.T., will see the men’s competition, which will be broadcast on ESPN. At 10:45 p.m. ET, the women’s competition begins. Although it may seem too early for them to have 30 hot dogs, more power to them!
