Peggy Twomey Obituary & Death Cause – What Happened To Her?
Peggy Twomey passed away last night following a car accident.
The incident happened in Annagh outside of Miltown Malbay while she was on her way to meet her son, Marty Morrissey. Gardai and emergency services responded to the scene but couldn’t do anything rather than pronouncing her dead at the spot.
On Tuesday, the identity of the deceased came out as Peggy. She was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. The autopsy is to take place in Limerick University Hospital.
lived alone in Quilty, Co Clare, she was fleeing the storm, Barra, and was on her way to a hotel in Ennis to meet her beloved son at the time of the incident. A friend of hers said that she never liked being on her own when big storms were around. So came her decision to live in a hotel for a few days and eventually meet her son.
Peggy again passed her driving test recently. Her son always visited her frequently.
Gardai said that the road where the crash happened was sealed off for a forensic examination early this morning but has reopened. They also encouraged any witnesses of the tragic accident to contact them. The incident is under further investigation.
At present, there hasn’t been any notice of her funeral including, the time, date, and location.

Peggy was from Mallow, County Cork, but worked in Bronx, New York. She gave birth to her only child, Marty, on 28 October 1958. Although the identity of her husband remains unknown, he died suddenly in December 2004 due to a heart attack. Before his death, he was ill with a history of two heart attacks.
When her son was 10, she and her whole family returned to Ireland and settled in Mullagh. The native home of her husband was in Claire.
