Knox had started his football career at Ole Miss. As a freshman, he made ten tackles, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. After playing linebacker for two seasons, he switched to tight end before playing linebacker again in the 2021 football season.
During the offseason of 2022, he moved from Ole Miss to Florida International. He was majoring in business.
