What Happened To Justin Turner?
Turner felt a pain in his abdomen before he took his final at-bat on Thursday while he was warming up in the Dodgers’ batting cage.
Any time a player sustains an injury, there is cause for concern. However, when that player is over 30, as with Turner, there is even more reason for concern.
We can only hope that he won’t be out for a long time because the Dodgers’ batting order would be hurt a lot if he were to miss a lot of games.
While it’s true that he had a terrible beginning to the season, this is consistent with his past performance, and he has made significant strides forward since then.
The 37-year-old player has a slashing record through the first few games of this season. According to Dodgers, two hundred fifty-three at-bats, including eight home runs and 53 runs batted in total.
Where Is Baseball Third baseman Justin Turner Now?
Justin had to leave Thursday’s game because of pain in his stomach, and he likely won’t be able to play in much of the team’s series against the Giants this weekend.
Even though he considers the injury quite mild, he could not compete in the games on Thursday and Friday.
It is not a good sign that the 37-year-old player is suffering from an injury in the first game of the second half, but at least it does not appear to be a significant concern now.
The manager was undecided as to whether or not he would be able to play on Friday or whether he would require a day or two off from the lineup.
Justin Turner Injury Update
Justin is doing a little bit better than he was doing yesterday. However, it is going to be a few, possibly even two or three, days before he can return to the lineup. His illness does not appear to be life-threatening, but there is still some time to sort of let this thing play out and see what happens.
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ Justin Turner did not play in the team’s first game after the All-Star break because of what the team announced was abdominal tightness.
Turner did not play for the Dodgers on Friday, and manager Dave Roberts of the Dodgers expressed optimism that the team could prevent anything too serious despite Turner’s absence from the lineup. This is likely to keep happening in the remaining games of the series against the San Francisco Giants.
