She has been suffering from depression and anxiety on and off but started to take the medication in 2019. While she reached a state where she need to be hospitalized for five weeks in 2020.

She opened up that she felt that, she needed to have a serious assessment of her mental health and wellbeing as she lost joy in her life. Similarly, she also had reached a point where she gave up her job on the radio.

Julie Goodwin is married to her husband Michael, and it was her husband who suggested she go to the hospital for mental health well-being and treatment.
