Matthew Edward Kimber (born August 6, 1977), better known by his stage name Josh Martinez, is a Canadian rapper, record producer, and record label executive. Josh won three Head of Household (Hoh) competitions and one Power of Veto.
What happened to Josh on The Challenge?
Josh was flown to Argentina with the initial cast of Ride or Dies to serve as an alternate in case anybody was disqualified. He was eventually sent home after being unused. Josh competed on CBS’s Big Brother: Reindeer Games alongside Xavier Prather.
Throughout the second season of CBS’ spinoff of MTV’s long-running reality competition series, the Big Brother alum found himself doing whatever it took to finally make his first final after six seasons of attempts.
Josh Martinez won his season of Big Brother. But when he returned to CBS for The Challenge: USA season 2, he was searching for a different type of victory. In the interim, Josh had competed on five seasons of the MTV staple reality series. Known for his penchant for conflict and emotional outbursts, he vowed that he would get in the best shape of his life to make a final for the first time in his Challenge career, and hopefully take home his second reality TV win
