After being diagnosed with two brain tumors five years ago, John Newman was forced to break from music. He had a major comeback through a hard time, and now he is doing great in his life.
The artist returned with a new song called Stand By Me, a tearjerker, and was inspired by his beloved wife, Nana-Maria, whom he married in 2018. It’s not like John’s past significant anthemic dance hits, such as Rudimental’s Feel The Love, his debut Love Me Again, and Sigala’s Give Me Your Love.
While John’s musical career has always appeared effortless, his personal life has been plagued by health problems. He had surgery in 2012 after being diagnosed with a brain tumor and again in 2016 when the tumor reappeared.
Fortunately, John’s health has improved, but he confesses that things could have turned out quite differently if he hadn’t taken a musical vacation.

John Newman has recovered from his illness. John talked about how incarceration caused him sadness and how rekindling his love for music helped him get over it before releasing his album.
John also mentioned that he took such a long vacation to cope with his mental health issues because he feels “overworked” by everyone. he has recovered from a brain tumor. Also, he wants to help those suffering from the same disease.
Newman traveled to the United Kingdom at the age of twenty, founded a band, and performed live before signing to Island Records. Working at The Silver Bullet bar, he met Piers Agget, one-fourth of Rudimental.
