There were rumours and allegations against Jerry since the mid-1990s. At first, the former football player came under scrutiny for sexually abusing young boys.
In November 2008, Sandusky finally came under official investigation. In 2011, the grand jury finally arraigned Jerry for a total of 40 criminal counts.
As the case further built up, Jerry’s victim grew from 8 to 10. Eventually, Sandusky was found guilty of 45 charges on June 22, 2012.
On October 9, 2012, the court punished Jerry to 30 to 60 years in prison. Though his lawyers tried to appeal the case, their requests were denied in 2013.
As of 2021, Jerry is serving in Pennsylvania’s SCI Greene “supermax” prison. He might be jailed for his life now.

In 2017, son Jeff was arrested for child sexual assault and possession of child pornography. He was eventually punished to 3 and a half years in prison.

Today, Dottie and Jerry still remain married. There are no reports of divorce between the two to date.
