What Happened to Jep Robertson? His Illness and Health Update 2021
Jep had a seizure in 2014, which forced him to miss a month of hunting and put him in the hospital for days.
During his rehabilitation, he told ABC News that he reached for his bow and that was the last thing he remembers. He just slumped to the ground and had a seizure for around five minutes.
Jep claims the seizure occurred when he was deer hunting in a remote area of the woods; his brother, Willie Robertson, was nearby and was able to assist him while ambulances waited nearly two hours to arrive.
Robertson was put on a ventilator and extensively watched in the ICU after being taken to the hospital, where he was sedated for four days. He didn’t recognize any of his family members before he needed to be drugged, according to reports.
So he was put on the ventilator and entirely drugged on Sunday, and we didn’t know until Wednesday when he was taken off because he didn’t recognize me, Willie, or his mother Kay before they completely medicated him, Jessica told Fox News at the time. It was terrifying, so when he came out and held my hand, we breathed a sigh of relief. It was a very emotional experience.
