After his wife Brittany Aldean recently made transphobic remarks, country musician Jason Aldean’s 17-year PR company fired him.
The 45-year-old “You Make It Easy” hitmaker is dealing with the fallout from his wife’s comments just one week after sparking internet anger.
Tyne Parrish, co-owner of Nashville-based The GreenRoom, told Billboard on Thursday that because music has always been and will always be the company’s primary emphasis, “we had to make the difficult decision to step away from representing Jason after 17 years.”
“We’re no longer the best candidates for the job, but we’ll always be huge admirers of his music since he’s one of the best country musicians to see live.”
Fellow country music luminaries Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Lady A, and Brett Young are customers of The GreenRoom.
What happened to Jason Aldean?
After his wife, Brittany Aldean, posted on social media about the gender-affirming treatment of trans children, country music star Jason Aldean was fired by his public relations company on Thursday.
