Joplin Officer Jake Reed will not make it out of the injuries he sustained in the shooting on Tuesday. He is currently being placed on life support at the moment.
Police Officer Jake Reed was on duty with his partner Benjamin Cooper when they received an emergency disturbance call. The two officers were quick to act they immediately responded to the call.
Unfortunately, both of them sustained heavy injuries after the suspect, Anthony R. Felix shot the officers. Cooper passed away from his injuries on Wednesday and Reed is currently on life support.
According to reports, the officer will not recover from his injuries and therefore, his organs will be donated.

According to reports, Jake Reed has been pulled off of life support. The Joplin police officer, along with his two partners was shot when they responded to a disturbance call.
Reed is currently on life support and his family has decided to donate his organs. The officer will pass away after his organs are harvested.
He is the second officer who will not recover from his injuries from the shooting on Tuesday. Reed has died saving the lives of many people and will save furthermore lives with his donated organs. He is truly a hero and we express our heartfelt condolences to his family.

He started his career with the Joplin Police in 2017. Officer Reed and Ben Cooper were the first to respond to the disturbance as they attempted to take 40-year old Anthony R. Felix of Joplin in custody.
However, the two officers failed to get the suspect under control, and Felix started shooting at the two officers. They were badly wounded in the shooting resulting in possible death.
