Harrison Joseph Bader, or “Tots,” as fans call him, is an American professional baseball player.
Bader currently plays for the New York Yankees in the center fielder position. However, he has played most of his career for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Before his time with the Cardinals, Bader used to play college baseball at the University of Florida. His college career started in a strange manner as he had initially committed to play for the University of Pittsburgh to play for the Panthers baseball team, but since he had not signed a National Letter of Intent, he decomitted from Pittsburgh in May 2012 and committed to the University of Maryland to play for their team, Terrapins.
However, the University of Maryland did not offer him a scholarship, so he decommitted from that university and committed to the University of Florida to play for their Gators team since they offered him a partial scholarship.
His time at the University of Florida was full of impressive feats, such as being named to the All-SEC team for his first and second year, but also full of controversy, including a charge of DUI that caused him to be suspended for 19 games during his sophomore year.
Altogether during his time with the Gators, Bader played three seasons and became the 11th player in the school’s history to record over 20 home runs, over 100 runs batted in and over 30 steals.
