India all-rounder Hardik Pandya went through a lower back surgery in the United Kingdom after his back issues. Let’s take a quick insight into his health condition at the present time.
Hardik Pandya was appointed to lead an IPL team that had a lot of hype. Pandya started his IPL journey by joining Mumbai Indians back in 2015 and played for them till 2021.
During one of his recent press conferences, he mentioned that as a captain he wants to create an environment where his team can flourish. As the IPL 2022 kicked off, people have been concerned about his health condition as he went through back surgery.
He was having lower back problems since the Test service in England in 2018. After having a back problem for two years, he finally got the surgery in the United Kingdom.

Hardik Pandya complained of stiffness after his game where he smashed a 52-ball 87. However, during the bowling phase, people noticed he was walking gingerly.
As per the recent news, he is not playing in GT’s match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday. Followingly, Afghanistan spinner, Rashid Khan, will be captaining in his stead.
After his complaint, management rightfully took the decision considering his fitness. Pandya came back this season after a long break due to his surgery.

Hardik Pandya will not be leading the Gujarat Titans in Match 29 of IPL 2022 vs Chennai Super Kings after he suffered a groin injury in the last match.
Rashid Khan, who has been leading the team in his absence revealed that Hardik was experiencing a bit of stiffness in the groin area. He further added that as a team they didn’t want to take chances.
Pandya first complained of the back issue in the final T20I against South Africa in Bengaluru. At the time, BCCI reported that the surgery was carried out considering the long-term benefits.
