Caylee Marie Anthony (August 9, 2005 – June-December 2008) was an American girl who lived with her mother, Casey Marie Anthony (born March 19, 1986), and maternal grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony, in Orlando, Florida. Since her death, she has made countless headlines, and her mother has sparked numerous debates.
Grandmother Cindy reported Caylee Marie missing to 9-1-1 on July 15, 2008, saying she hadn’t seen her in 31 days and that Casey’s car smelled like a dead body had been inside.
Cindy claimed Casey had offered her many answers for Caylee’s disappearance before finally admitting she hadn’t seen her in weeks.
Casey lied to detectives, telling them that Caylee had been stolen by a nanny on June 9 and that she had been looking for her ever since, too afraid to call the cops.

The defense then called Roy Kronk, who provided the same general testimony about finding Caylee Anthony’s remains in December 2008 that he told police.
Caylee’s skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area near the Anthony family’s home on December 11, 2008, with a blanket inside a laundry bag. Duct tape was located near the front of the skull and on the mouth of the skull, according to investigative findings and trial testimony. The medical examiner cited duct tape as one of the reasons she believed the death was a homicide, with “death by unidentified means” as the cause of death.
Caylee Anthony’s Cause Of Death And Age Revealed
Caylee Anthony was born on August 9, 2005, and died shortly after. She was roughly two years old when she died. According to a former Florida judge who presided over her mother’s trial, she may have killed her two-year-old daughter by accident with chloroform.
Anthony was acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony in June 2008 by a jury in 2011. Instead, the jury found her guilty of four counts of misdemeanor lying to police.
Retired Orange County Judge Belvin Perry told WFTV that he does not disagree with the verdict and believes there was sufficient evidence to prosecute Anthony with murder.

A grand jury indicted Casey Anthony on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of presenting false information to police on October 14, 2008.
Judge John Jordan ordered that she be kept without bond after she was arrested. The allegations of child negligence against Casey were withdrawn on October 21, 2008, because “the evidence indicated that the kid was deceased, the State sought an indictment on the legally appropriate charges,” according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Anthony was arraigned on October 28 and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
