Carlos Sainz, also known as Carlos Sainz Jr. or just Carlos Sainz, is a Spanish racing driver who has currently competed in Formula One for Scuderia Ferrari. He was born on September 1, 1994.
Sainz, who was born in Madrid, began his career in karting. He won the Asia-Pacific KF3 title and finished second in the Spanish Championship in 2008.

Carlos Sainz was eliminated from qualifying in the Q2 session at Imola after making a significant error while on a flying lap.
Sainz was working his way through a flying lap as he reached the last circuit, with rain threatening when the practice started.
As he turned in, the Spaniard appeared to lose control of his F1-75 and slid sideways into the gravel, crashing into the barriers.
Not only that, Sainz radioed in an apology and crawled free of his damaged Ferrari, as the damage was too significant to get out of the gravel and continue.
His error came two weeks after he spun out of the Australian Grand Prix, having signed a contract extension with Ferrari only days before the Scuderia’s home event.
Carlos Sainz was visibly enraged with Daniel Ricciardo after the McLaren driver forced him into the gravel trap on the very first corner of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
After starting fourth, Sainz was in an excellent position to at least fight for a podium.
With Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc stealing the show at the start of the season, Sainz has had to work hard closing gap with his teammate.
After lights out, though, the Spaniard got off to a poor start, with Lando Norris soon passing him down into the first turn.
And he was swiftly on the defensive, with Ricciardo approaching from the outside and all of the drivers furiously attempting to avoid colliding.
Coming into Tamburello, Sainz was slightly ahead of Ricciardo and had track position, but catastrophe struck when the McLaren collided with the Ferrari, sending both cars into the gravel trap.
