Brooke Khoury, an influencer and professional skateboarder, had reconstructive surgery a year after being mauled by a dog and losing her top lip and sections of her nose.
Brook Khoury disclosed in a YouTube video earlier this month that she had found a specialist and was scheduled to have her first operation to repair her face and smile on November 17.
Khoury, who was mauled by the dog in November 2020, revealed in the video that her doctor would be generating a skin transplant from her forearm to replace the skin on her top lip during the procedure.
What Happened To Brooke Khoury?
Brook was visiting her relatives in Arizona on November 3, 2020, when she was brutally assaulted in the face by a pit bull.
Her whole top lip and the margins of her nose were torn off as a result of the incident.
Although Khoury was rushed to the hospital, the doctor there told her that they were unable to reattach her upper lip.
In a brand ambassador highlight video on her Instagram, Khoury also briefly describes the incident, claiming that after being rushed to the hospital, her face surgery took around two hours.
Brook posted a video of herself staring in the mirror for the first time following the tragedy, noting that she was in shock but thankful for the people around her and her ability to skateboard.
Despite the incident, she claims she still loves dogs and that she learned to love herself after coming to grips with it.
Where Is Brooke Khoury From?
Brook Khoury is a skater from Southern California.
Khoury has posted a number of YouTube videos detailing her recovery from the attack’s aftermath.
Brook reveals in the creator’s week one video that when she and the dog were not playing, she was patting his head and praising him before turning around and returning to the dog lunging at her face.
The skater remembers the pit bull shaking her face like a puppy before releasing her head and removing portions of her nose and top lip during the event.
