Gary Fahey is a fallen cop who served as the head of security of former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd before falling from grace.
He served in the Federal Police for eighteen and a half years but his gambling addiction cost him his job and his entire career.
He served community service for fraud in the past. Currently, he runs a gym and he helps people in his community struggling with mental health.
He is participating in the latest edition of SAS Australia, a reality series that will see regular Australians fight for selection.
He is one of 14 contestants competing in the series which will premier on October 18.

Gary Fahey, one of the most controversial contestants on SAS Australia, disclosed the loss of his son roughly weeks ago in the promo clip of the reality show.
In the mentioned clip, he said he lost his family and everything he had due to his gambling addiction.
He informed his son of his decision of joining the show before his death and made a promise that he won’t quit, as per The New Herald Times.
He said he made the promise to make his son proud. Courier Mail reported his son died of a rare genetic illness.
Although he is not the biological father of his son, he loved and considered him as his own family.
His son’s name is unknown at the time of publication.
