On February 4, 2022, the new “Jackass” franchise premiered, and viewers instantly realized that Bam Magera was not in it. What happened to him? Why was Bam not in the movie? 

All of the original “Jackass” cast members wanted Bam Margera to be retained in the movie, but Bam was dismissed after he reportedly tested positive for Adderall.

Since the beginning of his career, Margera has been abusing narcotics.

What Happened To Bam Margera?

Margera has struggled with alcohol since he was in his twenties. He was regularly seen drinking on camera behind-the-scenes footage from the Jackass movies.

He said that alcohol helped him cope with the pain of injuries he got while filming the show.

Ryan Dunn, a close buddy and “Jackass” co-star, was killed in a high-speed incident in West Goshen, Chester County, in June 2011. He was driving his Porsche intoxicated on the Route 322 bypass.

At the time of the crash, Dunn’s blood-alcohol level was reported to be twice the legal limit.

After his death, his drinking became worse. Ryan Dunn was his childhood friend.

Relapse is something that many people go through, and Margera was no exception. In a 2017 interview with Jenkem Magazine, he revealed his 2016 relapse.

Bam Margera was arrested for DUI on January 7, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. Margera went to treatment after being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Throughout his life, Bam Margera has been in and out of treatment.

After an appeal from his friends and family, he entered rehab for the first time in December 2009 but did not finish the program and left after only four days.

He entered treatment for drinking again in 2015, but, like the last time, he did not complete the program.

After a DUI in January 2018, Bam checked into rehab for the third time. Surprisingly, he managed to stay clean for seven months this time.

Bam relapsed later that year after being robbed at gunpoint while on vacation in Colombia.

Although the actor is still alive, he continues to struggle with alcoholism.

In 2021, his wife sued for child custody of their kid. However, she did not file for a divorce to end their eight-year marriage.

Margera published Instagram posts insulting his wife and causing damage to his own home. His friends and relatives had prompted a petition for Margera’s commitment to a mental health treatment institution.

The videos were removed from his account soon after being posted.

He is currently married to Nicole Boyd, and the couple has a kid named Phoenix Wolf.
